Welcome to this site about New York City. It is where I have lived, on-and-off, since 1963. As I write for a living, or part of a living, I decided to spend some time writing about the Big Apple. Much of which is as depicted above, towers of steel glistening in the sun and looming over the inhabitants, but which is also a city full of wildlife, art, culture and just about everything you can imagine, good or bad.
